Enjoy your game worldwide

Updated: Nov 2, 2020

My first experience of playing tennis abroad was in 1998 in Houston, Texas, at a splendid club which had all the tennis surfaces you can think of and a great indoor facility with air conditioning Superb conditions!

The second one was in 2005, in Greece, in a beautiful resort with tennis courts right on the beach, and with amazing views of the see and the surrounding palm trees.

It was such a pleasant experience that I decided to combine work and pleasure, by traveling and playing tennis all around Europe. I had the chance to play on magic clay courts in Cote d'Azur, South of France, where the weather is perfect most of the time. (And the pleasures of French cuisine get added to those of playing tennis). Another highlight for me was Budapest, Hungary, which has several nice tennis clubs and also good infrastructure for biking. (I recommend you bike and play tennis in Szentendre, a quaint and romantic little town, close to Budapest.)

Traveling and playing tennis can be a great opportunity to meet new people, with different style of the game, to try out local cuisines, to do sightseeing. In a nutshell - to have a great holiday, while at the same time practicing your game.

Tips for playing in Bucharest, Romania

Have you tried the courts in Herastrau Park? It feels like playing in the middle of a forest, with a lake close by.
